Nissan Titan 2015 specs Workshop Service Repair Manuals

CAUTION:
• If the engine speed is out of the specified range, check the battery liquid for proper gravity. Check the engine speed again with normal battery gravity. I
• If the compression pressure is below the minimum value, check the valve clearances and parts associ- ated with the combustion chamber (valve, valve seat, piston, piston ring, cylinder bore, cylinder head, cylinder head gasket). After checking, measure the compression pressure again.
• If some cylinders have low compression pressure, pour a small amount of engine oil into the spark plug hole of the cylinder to re-check it for compression.
– If the added engine oil improves the compression, the piston rings may be worn out or damaged. Check the piston rings and replace if necessary.
– If the compression pressure remains at a low level despite the addition of engine oil, the valves may be malfunctioning. Check the valves for damage. Replace the valve or valve seat accordingly.

The vehicle is equipped with a passenger air bag deactivation switch. Because no rear seat exists where a rear-facing child restraint can be placed, the switch is designed to turn off the passenger air bag so that a rear-facing child restraint can be used in the front passenger seat.

The switch is located in the center of the instrument panel, near the ashtray. When the switch is turned to the ON position, the passenger air bag is enabled and could inflate in a frontal collision. When the switch is turned to the OFF position, the passenger air bag is disabled and will not inflate in a frontal collision.

A passenger air bag OFF indicator on the instru- ment panel lights up when the passenger air bag is switched OFF. The driver air bag always remains enabled and is not affected by the passenger air bag deactivation switch.

Information necessary to service the system safely is included in the RS section of this Service Manual. WARNING:
● To avoid rendering the SRS inoperative, which could increase the risk of personal injury or death
in the event of a collision which would result in air bag inflation, all maintenance should be per-
formed by an authorized NISSAN dealer.

● Improper maintenance, including incorrect removal and installation of the SRS, can lead to per-
sonal injury caused by unintentional activation of the system.

● Do not use electrical test equipment on any circuit related to the SRS unless instructed to in this
Service Manual. SRS wiring harnesses are covered with yellow insulation either just before the
harness connectors or on the complete harness, for easy identification.

Parts Requiring Angular Tightening
● Use an angle wrench for the final tightening of the following engine parts:
(1) Cylinder head bolts
(2) Connecting rod cap nuts
● Do not use a torque value for final tightening.
● The torque values for these parts are for a preliminary step.
● Ensure thread and seat surfaces are clean and coated with
engine oil.

Nissan Navara is the name for the D22 as well as D40 generations of Nissan pickup trucks marketed in Asia, Australia as well as Europe; in North, Central and South America it is sold as the Nissan Frontier. The line began in 1997, replacing the D21 Nissan Hardbody vehicle. Since 2002, the D22 collection pickup is no more marketed in Japan; the D22’s main market being The United States and Canada. It is presently built at the Nissan manufacturing facility in Canton, Mississippi.

Nissan was the pioneer of the “Hardbody” or “Nissan Frontier” considering that 1986. The initial was the D21, considered to be a little pick up. After greater than 10 years with the D21, the second generation Navara was produced from 1997 and also went until 2004 which was classified as a compact sized pick up. It was replaced with the bigger, taller, longer D40, which Nissan currently thinks about to be a mid-size pick up truck.

The Navara obtains its name from the Navarre region of northern Spain, and also the European variation is built at the Nissan manufacturing facility in Barcelona. In many European markets it is marketed as the Nissan NP300.

1999 Nissan Frontier 6 Cylinder Workshop Service Manual

The Frontier was presented in 1997 for the 1998 model year as a substitute for the aging 1986.5-1997 Nissan Hardbody Vehicle. Nissan initially provided the Frontier with a 6-cylinder engine, the KA24DE, but added the V6 engine, the VG33E in 1999. In Australia the D22 had the KA24E till 1999, then changed to KA24DE choice that year, a 3.0 L V6 was introduced in June 2000. In February 2003, 4×4 versions obtained a larger 3.3 L V6 (available only with a 5-speed guidebook), while 4×2 designs proceeded with the 3.0 L V6 (with handbook or automatic transmissions). The V6 was dropped in 2005, leaving the 2.5 L turbo diesel as the only offered engine. In other places, the Frontier was also known as the Nissan Navara.

A four-door version of the D22 was developed and established during 1997– 1998, wasing initially created in April 1999 and also released in May 1999 as the 2000 Frontier Crew Taxicab.

In February 2000 at the Chicago Automobile Show, Nissan introduced a facelifted Frontier for 2001, with bolder styling in an effort making it more enticing to younger buyers in its 2nd generation. The Frontier was entirely redone after the 2004 version year, which later on led to the uncertain discontinuation of the regular cab model.
