Maintenance and repair
Compliance with maintenance and repair specifications is an important safety factor.
Unless expressly permitted, no maintenance or repair work must be carried out with the engine running.
The engine must be secured against inadvertent starting, the battery disconnected and the “Do not operate” sign put up in the operating area or attached to the control equipment. Persons not involved must be kept clear.
Never attempt to rectify faults or carry out repairs if you do not have the necessary experience or special tools required. Maintenance and repair work must only be carried out by authorised, qualified personnel. Use only the proper, calibrated tools.
